The final table for the 2009 WSOP Main Event, known as the November Nine has finally been decided. It all began with pert near 6500 poker players trying to reach the end, but only the top nine players that could dodge and weave the bad beats and be on top of their poker game made it.

According to gambling911.com, the 2009 WSOP Final Table already has its first controversy with Jeff Shulman, the Editor of Card Player Magazine. The World Series of Poker cut off his family’s exclusive rights to cover the WSOP a few years back, so he has promised to just throw away the bracelet if he wins it. I personally don’t see him winning, but you never know….

The big news for a lot of folk is that seven time bracelet winner, FullTilt Poker Pro Phil Ivey has made the November nine.. There are many that gives him the advantage to win it all this year, and they just may be right. I don’t think he will myself with his chip count, but he has been known to overcome some big odds in his career, and he has really been on his game for the most part during the entire WSOP 2009 season, winning two of the events bracelets already this year.

Amateur poker player Darvin Moon who has the chip lead, won his seat by playing a satellite tourney in West Virginia. He has no illusions about being the best player and has stated that a large part of his success was due to getting some awesome hands during the tournament. “I told them as soon as I go card dead you guys will eat me alive. I’m humble. I know where I stand among the class of people I’m against. I’m outclassed by so far.” You never know though, this could just turn out to be another Moneymaker type story and be another huge boost to poker !

The rest of the WSOP Main Event Final Table is as follows;

Darvin Moon – $58,930,000
Eric Buchman – $34,800,000
Steven Begleiter – $29,885,000
Jeff Shulman – $19,580,000
Joseph Cada – $13,215,000
Kevin Schaffel – $12,390,000
Phil Ivey – $9,765,000
Antoine Saout – $9,500,000
James Akenhead – $6,800,000

Now we just wait for November 7th to see which of the nine takes the 2009 WSOP Main Event down !
