What Does The Future Hold For Poker Online?

There is no doubt that online gambling has exploded in popularity in the last few years. There are hundreds of new poker rooms opening up, there are poker news sites dedicated to covering all poker related events, everyone seems to be starting up their own poker blogs, and more people are taking part in online poker school. But, can this huge explosion be sustained and what does the future hold?

Obviously, no one can answer this question. No one really knows what the future holds. But, some trends are beginning to become evident, and we can predict what may be coming to the online poker industry.

First, the diversity of games and the amount of people playing them will continue growing. The original poker boom was based on Texas Holdem, but more and more people are starting to play games like Omaha Hi, Razz and even mixed games like HORSE. No longer is everyone heading right to the Texas Hold’em tables. This is great for poker, because more variety means people will not get bored fast and they will stay longer.

Second, the platforms that players play on will change. We are getting closer and closer to being able to play online poker on mobile phones and other devices. Some online casinos already offer this technology, so it is just a matter of time before you will be able to play a few hands of Texas Holdem while sitting in a bus on your way to work.

Lastly, more people from different countries will start playing the game.

With gambling regulations beginning to be more lax around the world, more different markets are being opened up to the works of poker online. With more and more people coming online, the potential player pool just keeps on getting bigger.

While no one can predict the future of online poker, one thing is for certain. Now, and in the future, Littlewoods poker will continue to be one of the best online poker rooms to get your poker fix at. Check it out today!

I think there's a still unopened market for poker in China. Maybe it's because poker is being labeled more and more as a skills game in US and Europe.
