Poker Tournaments for the Ladies

With all the talk in the past about Lisa Hamilton winning the 2009 Ladies World Poker Championship in a field of 1,060 of the top women in poker, and winning her first WSOP bracelet, I thought it might be a good time to talk about some Poker Tournaments for the Ladies.

For you ladies that read Carolina Gambler, you can get your game on at some Lady only poker tournaments too. You don’t see a lot of the online rooms offer them, but one of the rooms that I recommend the most does. They even have their own Lady Championship Poker Tournament once a year at the Summer Championships ! The winners are awarded a special avatar to wear at the tables .

The room is Carbon Poker . They have an established forum for the players and a private “Girls Club” as well.

Anyhow, let me get this back on track and talk about the Lady Only Tournaments that are played each week on top of the annual Ladies Championship Tournament.

Ladies Only $400 Guaranteed R/A – $2.00 / $0.20 or $2.20 Satellite Coupon or 200VIP + 20VIP Every Saturday at 12:00
Ladies Only $250 Guaranteed Freezeout – $3.00 / $0.30 or 300VIP + 30VIP Every Sunday at 12:00
Ladies Only $200 Guaranteed Freezeout – $2.00 / $0.20 or $2.20 Satellite Coupon or 200VIP + 20VIP Every Tuesday at 14:15
Ladies Only $250 Guaranteed Turbo with R/A – $2.00 / $0.20 or $2.20 Satellite Coupon or 200VIP + 20VIP Every Thursday at 19:25

The rules state that if a male player is found to have taken part in any Ladies Only Tournaments they will forfeit any winnings and will not be refunded buy-in, winnings and their player account will be banned.

To be eligible for the Ladies Only Tournaments you will need to first download the poker room by clicking here, and then complete an Identity Document Verification . Once you are verified, all you need to do to find the ladies tourneys is go to the Carbon lobby, select the “Tournaments” tab, and then select the “Special Tournaments” option.  Once you’ve done this, a list of ladies tournaments will be displayed.

This gives the ladies a chance to compete against other ladies who share the love of poker.  You may even see Shannon Elizabeth, who is the newest addition to the Carbon Poker family, in one of the Ladies Only Tournaments.
