Letter From Senator Graham
Anyone that knows me knows that I’ve been speaking out against the UIGEA before it was ever even signed into law by former President Bush. One way I’ve been doing that is by writing my Congressmen on a regular basis, and just yesterday I received another reply back from Senator Graham . I’ll give the Senator from here in South Carolina props on always replying back …although I do disagree with him on most all of his positions. Anyhow, here’s the latest letter I received in the mail, dated August 13,2009.
Dear Earl,
Thank you for contacting me with your thoughts regarding Internet gambling. I appreciate the opportunity to hear from you.
Internet gambling legislation continues to be considered by the United States Congress. President George W. Bush signed the Port Security Improvement Act of 2006 into law in October 2006. As you may know, this law included the Internet Gambling Prohibition Act, which prohibits the use of credit cards and money transfers to fund Internet gambling accounts.
H.R.2267, the Internet Gambling Regulation, Consumer Protection, and Enforcement Act, has been introduced in the House of Representatives in the 111th Congress. H.R.2267 would effectively reverse the Internet Gambling Prohibition Act, and has been referred to the House Committee on Financial Services for review. Should this legislation come before the full Senate, I will be sure to keep your thoughts in mind.
Again, thank you for taking the time to contact me. Please do not hesitate to call on me if I may ever be of assistance to you or your family.
Sincerely,
Lindsey O. Graham
United States Senator

You should post a copy of your letter to the Senator.
You can send the same letter to your Congress with an easy form to fill out at the PPA. Just click http://www.capwiz.com/pokerplayersalliance/issues/alert/?alertid=13690391&type=CO . Only takes a minute to do.
I agree with the first one post. This might be a good proof to let others know and believe that most senators are pro online casino gambling and that the legality of online gambling will remain again.
