My name is Jan and im the news poster in The European Gambler Section.
Im 32 years old and live in Denmark with my “girlfriend” (been together for 7 years, just havent gotten to the get married part yet).
We have a son around 2,5 years old named Daniel after the great poker player Daniel Negreanu.
I have been invited by Earl to take care of the visitors at Carolina Gambler who are from outside of the US and then Earl covers everything that is US friendly related.

I have been playing online poker for more than 10 years, and started before the big poker boom.
I used to travel hundreds of miles to play at the few casino that there are in Denmark, and the local poker clubs.
Things got a lot easier and more comfortable when internet poker really kicked off.
Today i play mostly cashgames online and then try and qualify for the bigger live events.

I have played in the Party Poker cruise tournament twice, and the first one i played was the last fixed limit hold´em event that was a part of the WPT.
It was a cruise from San Diego that went through Mexico for 7 days with a $10k buyin event.
After that, then the US players got excluded from Party Poker and the party poker cruise tournament was taken of the WPT.
2 years after i qualified again and this time the cruise started in Venice and went to different countries in Europe.
Apart from those 2 big events, i have played in some of the Danish Championships and in November i played in the World Heads Up Poker Championship in London but busted in 3rd heat.

In the WSOP 2010 i am planning to play a handful of smaller events, and main event if i qualify online.
Apart from that im currently working on qualifying for the Irish Open.
